Lumoskop_lab: Static in Motion
projection, 2026
Static in Motion is a rotating light projection rooted in the visual language of constructivism and inspired by the poetic tension of Srečko Kosovel. Built from rigid geometric forms it appears at first static, almost architectural. Through mechanical rotation and projection, however, this apparent stability is continuously dismantled. The composition maintains a central core while surrounding forces meet, intersect, and reorganize over time. What seems immobile reveals itself as dynamic; what appears solid becomes temporary. Movement is not represented but enacted, transforming the projection into a system of constant negotiation.
Presented in public space, Static in Motion explores the fragile balance between order and instability, permanence and transformation. The work fully exists only through duration, where light, architecture, and motion merge into a continuously evolving visual state.
