In the summer of 1925, Srečko Kosovel wrote a text in Tomaj titled To the Mechanics! (To Mechanics and Drivers)—a manifesto, a protest, a letter. A hundred years after the author’s death, this text is relevant once again. In an era of the virtualization of everyday life and the rise of artificial intelligence, we must once again fight against the mechanization of human existence. A giant mechanical puppet, directed by Marko Čeh and operated by Andraž Jug, Gregor Prah, and Anže Zevnik, with musical accompaniment by Tomi Novak, will reveal its inner self through the poetry of three exceptional contemporary Slovenian authors: Miljana Cunta, Vid Karlovšek, and Petra Koršič.
