Liquid Room XIII / Blood on the Floor
A contemporary music concert like you’ve never seen before! Join us for a spectacular opening celebration marking the birth of a new ensemble of young Italian and Slovenian musicians. With the support of the Ictus Ensemble, the Index Ensemble will present an explosive event called Liquid Room, a format conceived by the Ictus Ensemble. The contemporary music concert will transform into a mini-festival where the audience can listen, move, dream… and let their emotions run free. Four stages, a contrasting program, and a meticulously designed sound and lighting setup—all this will make up Liquid Room, which aims to revive the spirit of Gorizia-born composer Faust Romitelli, who embodied an unusual hybrid figure in the contemporary music of his time, halfway between St. John the Baptist and Darth Vader. But what, in fact, remains of his legacy? The conviction that music must reveal itself as a dramaturgy of sound that opens up a hallucinatory scene in which monsters and ghosts appear—sometimes even angels… This concert aims to vividly illustrate this.
