25. 9. 2026

The exhibition ‘A Town on the Border: The History of the Goriška Region in the 20th Century’ is part of the KINOpass programme

As part of the ‘Tribute to Vision’ festival, the KINOpass programme invites visitors to explore the cross-border region through film, culture and the stories of the Goriška region. EPICenter is also joining the initiative organised by the Kinoatelje institute, where holders of the KINOpass can visit the exhibition ‘City on the Border: The History of the Gorizia Region in the 20th Century’ at a reduced price. On Sunday 4 October, admission to the exhibition will be free.

Through the personal and collective stories of its inhabitants, the exhibition ‘City on the Border’ reveals the history of the Gorizia region and opens up a space for understanding everyday life in the multicultural borderlands of the 20th century. The exhibition goes beyond established national narratives and offers a human, emotional perspective on the events that shaped the region before, during and after both world wars.

A visit to the exhibition is therefore an opportunity to get to know the cross-border region through its history.

Through the exhibition ‘A City Without Borders’, discover the story of the Goriška region and continue your cross-border journey with the KINOpass.
