Volkuljin sin – illustration exhibition opening

20. 2. 2026

Yesterday, the EPIC Café at EPICenter hosted the opening of an illustration exhibition dedicated to the novel Volkuljin sin. The author presented his illustrations and spoke with visitors about how the story developed through the interplay of text and image. The evening was musically accompanied by Aljoša Saksida and Lara Černic.

The Wolf’s Son (Volkuljin sin, 2025; Il figlio della lupa, 2022) is a political fairy tale by Anton Špacapan Vončina and Francesco Tomada, an important work of resistance literature. The Slovenian translation was supported by the European Capital of Culture Nova Gorica – Gorizia 2025, and the exhibition serves as a visual extension of the novel.

The exhibition will be on view at the EPIC Café until March 26, 2026. You are warmly invited to visit.
